Shortlisted competition entry for "Beyond the Centerline" in collaboration with JBA Collective. The design prompt was to re-envision and enliven the medians of Park Avenue in New York City, thinking of new ways to activate the space between 46th and 57th Avenue with a new set of architectural installations. Our design specifically looks at the speed, warp, and rhythm of Midtown Manhattan, taking into consideration the contextual inputs of the surrounding buildings, sunlight, landmark views and pedestrian flows to create an undulating green roof structure with adjacent retail and amenities below.
